Camping has always been a big part of my life, starting with family adventures in a tent, upgrading to a tent trailer, and eventually living it up in a fifth wheel. As kids, we spent countless summers by the water, especially at Monk Park near Merritt, where every day felt like an outdoor treasure hunt. Now, with a family of my own, the tradition lives on at places like Purden Lake and the beautiful Sowchea Bay on Stuart Lake. For us, camping is more than just a getaway—it’s where we laugh the loudest, explore the wildest, and make the best memories.
